2. What is the product made of?

The step is constructed of steel. It is "E" coated (a process used in automobile parts to keep them from rusting on the insides) as well as "powder" coated (a crinkle coat applied to the top to give further protection from wear and tear). The plastic molding provided with the TGS-11 Surface Mount is blown of High Density Polyethelene. The mold has a textured finish making it slip resistant as well as providing two convenient cup holders.

ONE, the hinge is its only moving part. The hinge is constructed from hardened stainless steel and will not rust. It is not affected from conditions such as sand, snow, or ice.
